Deep In Your Head! Perfect motto for this piece. This awesome artwork Erica Belland has put together with oil paint and a unique reduction woodcut design has caught our attention. Roulette being heavily involved in street art and art in general took some time with Erica to really figure out what inspired her and how she came up with the  idea for this piece. Erica is a Cali native which definitely shows in her artwork, but she currently resides in Portland, Oregon. This piece took about a month because the reduction woodcut technique is time consuming and can be tedious. She had to figure  out her color scheme and what base color to use; the sequence she chose was yellow,  green, blue, purple and black. She says “I made a few mistakes but I like what they did to the artwork.” In my eyes I like this piece a lot, especially because I am Dutch and what inspired this art was a picture Erica had taken in Amsterdam of a skull on the famous Rembrandts a Dutch Master Artist's house. The artist that had inspired Ms. Belland was Gusatv Klimt who was an Austrian symbolist painter who was the first  president of the Vienna Secession, he was known for his sketching, murals and of  course his paintings. Roulette has been and will continue to be a huge supporter of the Groms, Grommets, Little guys, Juniors, whatever you want to call them. Especially Nicholas Coli better known as “Nico” this Grom placed 1^st in the Micro Grom division for the short-boarding under 9 division. This contest took place in the beautiful Huntington beach California on February 19^th 2012. Nico continues to progress for his age and coming from myself as I have seen him grow up, he gets better everytime I go in the water with him. According to the charts he normally places 2^nd or 3^rd but this Sunday Nico was wearing his game face, as well as his Roulette snap back hat of course, but we will just say his game face helped him win and the hat made him look good as he got recognized for his accomplishments. Nico maintains a 4^th place standing overall in the Western Surfing Association maintaining a total of 6,755 points! Nico continues to free surf on the weekends and enjoys spending time with his family he is a good kid and if he keeps it up I’m sure he will be surfing better than most by the time he is 13! Keep an eye out for this up and coming Grom as he continues to throw buckets on his competition, sporting Roulette Clothing to the tee!

The Rusty Maples is by far one of the sickest indie/rock bands I have ever heard, & we are glad to say that Roulette supports their passion of music all the way. We personally know them and have seem them live plenty of times. The brothers, Blair Dewane (Lead vocals, Acoustic guitar) and Ian Dewane (Lead guitar/ vocals) perform a great acoustic set as well. When they are in San Clemente be sure that the whole neighborhood knows and will come to show support by drinking a brew and having a good time. That being said check our their newest video!
